Laughter is your way out.
Do you interrupt yourself with an assortment of unrelated thoughts?
In the middle of saying one thing I'll suddenly announce, "Okay... but wait." and run off on the a tangent while everyone else stands by. These tangents are occasionally wonderful discoveries that If I had stomped them out I might have missed.
One day, I interrupted myself multiple times in a row and eventually ended up with feeling motivated. I had a goal of feeling happier, healthier, and more connected to the world. I've noticed when I am more active, more silly, and more thankful my life is significantly better and realized it was worth committing to in a structured way.
'Okay... but wait.' is my own attempt at addressing the goal from three directions:
Share comedy and laughter.
Increase physical activity.
Get outside and express gratitude.
'Okay... but wait.' is recorded during walks, hikes, or outings, and with spliced in jokes of the moment, gratitude and friends.
